Make the Most Out of Your Unlimited Texting Experience… the IM Way!

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

Unlimited
text promos by mobile phone operators is here to stay and continue to
dominate the whole country. It’s a budget-friendly feature aimed at
budget-conscious consumers who spend texting rather than calling to
keep in "chat" with friends and love ones. However, some of you may not
notice a least feature (I think) in your mobile phone that let’s you
harness the power [...]

Bebot Video and Friendster Blog Problems

Friday, July 28th, 2006

Black Eyed Peas Bebot Video coming by the end of July.

I
read stories that the video "Bebot", lyrics and performed by Apl among
with the rest of the BEP members, will debut by the end of this month.
I’m anxious to see the contents of the video as well as some renowned
appearances like "Jasmine Trias" and the lead singer of "The Speaks".
On youtube.com, there’s a video teaser of bebot… most of it performed
by the extras on the music video and the last part was a sneak peek of
the making of the video. I was surprised to hear Fergie saying "Salamat
Po" (thank you) and then I think is "Sarap…(delicious)" as the clip
nears it’s end.

I went to
one of my favorite social content website Digg to find some interesting
articles to peek and bookmark when I stumble upon several mostly
‘digged’ articles. Stories about the recent pissing match between rival
websites digg.com and netscape.com.

Smart’s new services.

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

Smart had rolled-out their new
services aiming at budget-conscious subscribers and provide yet or
somewhat enhanced customer service. Now, as a retailer of SmartLoad, I
can offer yet another denomination for me to reload to subscribers.

Smart UNLI 30

The
trend of unlimited texting will still continue it’s dominance in the
telecommunications market here in the Philippines. As millions of
subscribers from different providers offer competitive rates to offer
this unlimited service. Smart UNLI 30 and 40 is a new way of offering 2
days of non-stop unlimited texting for 30 pesos.

However, as I
am writing this blog, there still no menu update happening on my sim.
Even if I let my mobile phone idle for up to an hour after texting
GETSL to 343. I even tried calling their customer…

Black Eyed Peas “Bebot” Video in the making.

Black Eyed Peas Break Out Filipino Pride For Very Low-Budget ‘Bebot’ Video

LOS ANGELES
— The multiplatinum-selling, Grammy-winning, omnipresent Black Eyed
Peas just shot a music video on a less-than-shoestring budget for a
song their label has little plans for.

Why? Because the track, "Bebot," has special meaning for Peas rapper/producer Apl.de.Ap.

Over
two days in Los Angeles earlier this month, the Peas made a video for
"Bebot," a funky dance track from their 2005 LP Monkey Business.

Ubuntu version 6.06 LTS

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Yehey uli. I just received my pressed orders of new Ubuntu 6.06 LTS from Canonical Ltd from the Netherlands.

I’m
waiting for this to arrive. I ordered it last May 2006 and informed me
that it will take 4 to 6 weeks delivery time. They also informed me
that this latest release of Ubuntu will be available for shipping in
the first week of June. So, I assume that within the 3rd or 4th week of
July the package will arrive, and it did. I’m so happy. However, the
mailman who came only delivered me a postal claim letter and that I
must present that along with my ID and 35 pesos to the postal office to
claim. I never expected this because my previous orders are delivered
straight to our house. I don’t have any idea what was the new policy
the post office.

Pacquiao defeats Larios!

Saturday, July 1 2006 (US Time)

Super featherweight superstar Manny Pacquiao (42-3-2, 32 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous deciaion over game Oscar Larios (56-5-1, 36 KOs) Sunday morning at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines. Larios had some good rounds early, but was cut over the left eye by a punch in round three, which bled for the rest of the fight. By round four, Pacman was in command and the bout became one-sided in his favor after that. Larios was down briefly in round seven and again in round twelve with about :30 left in the fight, but made it to the final bell, fighting courageously the entire twelve round distance. Scores were 117-110, 118-108, 120-106. The bout was for WBC International 130lb title.
